So where do I start? My name is Alex Chan and I am a web designer, graphic designer, developer, entrepreneur, super nerd, über geek, gamer, and all around nice guy. I was born in San Francisco, CA, but I currently reside in Boston, MA while attending the School of Management at Boston University as a senior concentrating in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance. I plan to move back to the Bay Area after I graduate, but hey, who knows!

I’ve been designing and building websites since grade school. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of my work from back then to showcase, but I can assure you it was great. I specialize in creating and testing beautiful and intuitive user-interfaces. I spend most of my time honing my skills and reading up on the latest tech advances. I also enjoy: graphic design, typography, photography, video games, music, and interesting ideas.

Right now, I’m looking for a job (preferably in the Bay Area). I’d love to work on something new and engaging that will change the way we look at online spaces. If you’d like to hire me, check out my resumé or drop me a line.

I believe in valid, meaningful, and beautiful code. I’m a great admirer of the standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and try to adhere to them at all costs. I believe in hard work and that building something beautiful takes time. I believe that form and function are one in the same and neither should follow the other.
